David Lorenz and his company Lunaz caused a stir in the automotive world. With the full blessing of the original manufacturer, a 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud has been electrified. This follows on from their previous versions of high voltage Jaguar and Bentley classics. They’re only building 30 examples and customers can choose between a Phantom V or a Silver Cloud with prices starting at £350,000 ($457,000).
For this, you will have a 120 kWh battery with more than 300 miles of range. Of the project, David had this to say “The time has come for an electric Rolls-Royce. We answer the need to marry a beautiful classic design with the usability, reliability and durability of an electric powertrain. More than ever, we are responding to the demand for clean-looking expressions of the most beautiful and luxurious cars in history.
